My vision as the owner of the firm is to broadcast our mission statement to our clients and team, and to develop strategies to cope with competitive change for the benefit of our clients and our firm. I
believe that the most important part of business is the relationship between
people. Please allow me to introduce myself. I want you to know who I am
and what I'm about
I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and spent my early years in a classic apartment within eyesight of legendary Ebbets Field. I earned my education at Brooklyn Technical High School, and then at City College of New York, where I graduated with a BBA in accounting. College activities included the Presidency of my fraternity, Secretary of the student body, member of an honorary organization for scholar athletes, and captain of my college fencing team. That's a picture of me at the right during my college fencing days. As a Lieutenant, j.g., in the United States Navy I served on the USS New Jersey and the USS Juneau. During that time, I was a member of the US Navy Fencing Team that won several national championships. While in the navy, I also proudly made the US Olympic Fencing Squad! After several years as a successful self-employed garment manufacturer, I relocated to California and worked for world famous Mattel Toys, Inc. as a liaison engineer in their Research and Development Department. Thereafter, I began my successful career as a professional accountant. I've spent several years with Toastmasters International, having served as president of an active Los Angeles branch. Over the years I’ve spoken on tax and business related topics before service organizations such as Rotary and Kiwanis; colleges and universities; the Small Business Administration; and numerous trade organizations. I earned my CPA distinction in California after passing -- in the first sitting -- all four parts of the rigorous CPA exam. Each year I complete at least 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education courses to maintain and improve my proficiency. My wife Marcia and I have been happily married for over 30 years, and are the proud parents of four wonderful sons. We enjoy many activities, including regular fitness workouts, tennis, dancing, entertainment and travel. I love my work, and am proud to serve society as a member of the accounting/business consulting profession. It would be my pleasure to serve you! |
